The Cozy Creatures Cowl is one half of my advent patterns for the 2021 season, and is the result of my collaboration with Heathered Handmades.

This recipe is perfect for any advent calendars or scrap collections, and can easily be modified for length, gauge, and yarn weight! The best part is, because it’s knit in the round as a tube, you can just knot your ends together. (I won’t tell anyone, shhhhh!)

The sample pictured is knit from my scraps collection without too much thought to the order of colors. I used a neutral cream to tie everything together, but you can do whatever brings you joy.

If you purchased a 2021 Advent Calendar from Heather, the code you received in the box will be the one you use to redeem the pattern.

DETAILS
Sizes: One size, but as this is a recipe and not a pattern, the size of the cowl can be easily customized to the knitter’s preference.

Yarn: 1 skein of a coordinating neutral and as many advent minis or yarn scraps as you desire.
Recommended Yarn: This pattern was designed with Heathered' Handmades’ Cozy Creatures Advent Calendar in mind. The calendar includes a full sized skein of fingering weight yarn (438 yards) and 24 mini skeins (88 yards each).

This pattern is designed to suit a wide variety of yarns, whether it be hand-spun or big box acrylic. It all depends on your personal preference and what you envision for the finished project!

Needles: Circular needles in US 4 (3.5mm).

Gauge: Gauge is not critical, but should approximate to 22 stitches and 28 rounds after blocking for 4 inches squared in stockinette stitch, knit in the round.
