Lily Shawl

Named after my favorite Animal Crossing villager, Lily, and the lily of the valley flowers in the game, the Lily Shawl is a collaboration with Seismic Yarn. Using Eva’s Charcoal and 5 Star Island colorways, the shawl alternates between soothing rows of garter stitch and engaging lace, resulting in a comfortable and versatile shawl perfect for layering.

Hold two strands of Charcoal in Lace Luxe and Fluff to give your shawl a bit of 🌟EXTRA🌟 coziness, while letting the variegated aqua colors sing in 5 Star Island!

The shawl is easily modified for whatever yarns you have on hand, and sections may be added and subtracted as you wish for a shawl that fits YOU.

DETAILS
Sizes: One size, but the pattern may easily be modified by adding or subtracting sections.

Yarn: 2 colors of fingering weight yarn.
C1: 350 yards
C2: 400 yards

Recommended Yarn: Sample is knit in Seismic Yarns’ Butter Sock in 5 Star Island (C1), and Lace Luxe and Fluff in Charcoal held together (C2).

If using stash yarns, please consider the fiber content and ply of your yarns. A plumper fingering weight yarn will result in a squisher shawl, while a sleeker yarn will result in a drapier fabric.

This pattern is designed to suit a wide variety of yarns, whether it be hand-spun or big box acrylic. It all depends on your personal preference and what you envision for the finished project!

Needles: Circular needles in US 6 (4.0mm).

Gauge: Gauge is not critical, but should approximate to 20 stitches and 46 rows after blocking for 4 inches squared in garter stitch, knit flat.
